About VQS New Music began in 2004 as The Voodoo Quota Show, a twice monthly podcast used as a vehicle (encouraged by hosts of other large podcast organisations) to promote the music of iZZiE Voodoo , a multi talented artist from England, creating electronica crossover music. The show evolved quickly, promoting a huge array of genres. Bands showed so much interest that an offshoot was created in the form of 'Limelight', a monthly cast which concentrated on one band at a time but was eventually axed due to iZZiE diminishing free time. Shortly after, it was decided to switch the show's title to VQS New Music and is now handled by LippyTrip Records with iZZiE as it's Host and Head Producer. iZZiE is a member of The Association of Music Podcasting, a co-host on Made In The UK show, an eclectic show playing the best of music from the UK, brought to you by 10 of the finest podcasters, and an esteemed song reviewer (alongside highly regarded music biz people such as Adam Sieff (Founder of Sony's Jazz section), Rob Ellis ( host of Manchester's Number One Breakfast Show, Galaxy) and Emma Scott (Kerrang! Radio) to name but a few at cuetracks.net. VQS New Music is a free, non profit organisation and prides itself on providing it's listeners and artists with much more than just the fundamentals.
